Ceramic Foam Filter Plate
Ceramic foam filter plate is a special functional ceramic product with a three-dimensional network and interconnected pore structure. It is mainly made of high-purity alumina, using a three-dimensional network polyurethane foam as the precursor, and is formed by extrusion, drying, and high-temperature sintering.
Materials and Structure
- Materials: Usually made of ceramics such as alumina, silicon carbide, and zirconia.
- Structure: It has three-dimensional mesh pores, with a porosity of up to 80%-90%, and the pore size can be adjusted according to demand.
Working Principle
When the molten metal flows through the tortuous, repeated, and porous three-dimensional foam structure of the ceramic foam filter plate, tiny impurities are firmly adhered to the pore walls by interception, adsorption, deposition, and other effects, thus efficiently filtering out micron-sized impurities in the molten metal.
Advantages
- High Strength: It is not easy to shed slag, which can effectively reduce the pollution to the molten metal.
- Uniform Pore Structure: The opening rate is high, the pore structure is uniform, the pore size is consistent, and the flow rate is stable when the molten metal passes through.
- Good Thermal Shock Resistance: It can withstand the impact of metal flow and has improved corrosion resistance to molten metal.
